DETAILED MAPPING

TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING:
  • Conduct precision topographic survey.
  • Conduct detail survey of roads, fences, existing water management structures and general farm infrastructure as appropriate. Fit survey work around cropping cycle.

SPECIALISED WORK:
  • Where appropriate, map soil type, pH, chemistry, clay mineralogy and if appropriate, Sodium contamination.
  • Acquire and collate historic records of crop yield, soil fertility and fertilising regimes.
    Acquire historic weather records.

DATA BASE & GIS DEVELOPMENT:
  • Establish a data base for the property then export data to a Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Add theme coded mapping data to GIS.
  • Add theme coded maps of soil type, pH, chemistry, clay mineralogy & Sodium
  • Add collated theme coded historic data.
  • Produce digital and hardcopy maps

DATA ANALYSIS:
  • Computer model and analyse existing water management procedures. Identify problems.
  • Assess the suitability of topography, soils, climate, water resources, location and regional infrastructure for the desired primary production activities.
